Sauconys did a lot of things right with last year's major update to the Ride 15 and received a lot of praise for it. So it's all the more understandable that most of it can be found unchanged or similar in the current model, with only selective revisions. I find the changes to the upper material neutral, but I personally like the new two-tone design better. I also think the new laces are an upgrade, and for me the Ride 16 is a fantastically balanced all-rounder with no real weaknesses. At 150 euros, it is in the mid-price segment and has a reasonable price-performance ratio, especially as you get a high-quality, durable shoe.
