When it comes to maximum protection and comfort in the field, the Altra Olympus
7 is the premier choice. This ultra-trail shoe offers the plushest cushioning
in the trail range with a 33 mm stack height. The updated Altra EGO™ MAX foam
is now 15% lighter and 10% softer than before. This enables a floating running
sensation, even on the hardest surfaces. The Vibram® Megagrip outsole with
TractionLug technology guarantees unsurpassed grip in all directions. Thanks to
the Original FootShape™ fit, your toes enjoy full freedom even after many hours
on the trail. A plush collar and optimized tongue wrap the foot comfortably and
securely. Molded TPU overlays protect the breathable mesh upper from abrasion
by rocks and brush. The wide base of the shoe provides exceptional passive
stability, which protects against fatigue on long distances. Despite its
massive appearance, the Olympus 7 is surprisingly agile and responsive. It is
the perfect companion for ultra-marathons, multi-day hikes, or long training
sessions. The Zero Drop construction ensures that you run naturally and upright
despite the high sole. At approx. 325 g (men's), it is surprisingly lightweight
for its class. The Olympus 7 is the sofa among trail shoes – only much faster.
