With the Metaspeed SKY+, ASICS has a real "RACE WEAPON" in its range. The workmanship is high quality, the fit is comfortably tight and the breathability is very good. Thanks to its special construction, it offers "STRIDE runners", including runners with a rather long stride length who increase it disproportionately when accelerating, significant performance advantages. For the so-called CADENCE runner, ASICS offers the congenial "brother" Metaspeed EDGE+, which particularly supports fast rolling and high cadences. The SKY+ generates a very high rebound, but this can only be fully utilized from a pace range of approx. 4:00 min/km (and faster). The (forefoot/midfoot) stability is good and the grip on asphalt is at a very high level in all weather conditions. Overall, the SKY+ is a very interesting alternative in the carbon race shoe segment - with a clear unique selling point for STRIDE runners. I may soon have the opportunity to test the EDGE+, which should suit my running style a little better. The ASICS Metaspeed Sky+ for men are neutral competition running shoes. Most runners belong to the group that gets faster by taking longer strides. The Metaspeed Sky+ scores with numerous innovations. The carbon plate is located closer to the foot in this model. There is correspondingly more foam under the plate, which returns more energy when running. In addition, the slightly curved outsole pushes your feet forward. The upper of the Metaspeed Sky+ has been completely redesigned. The Motion Wrap mesh material is lightweight, offers improved breathability, more comfort and a supportive fit.

FlyteFoam BLAST TURBO foam is used in the midsole. Turbo Foam is 30% more resilient than regular foam. It gives the Metaspeed Sky+ a soft and springy feel that combines with the carbon plate for a forward propulsive motion.
