Akyra is a waterproof footwear with Gore-Tex membrane for winter trail running.
Structured and protective, it is suitable for ultra trails, ultra marathons and
long training sessions in the cold season. Akyra is particularly enveloping,
comfortable and protective and is designed for long off-road use. The upper in
water repellent and non-slip mesh is very enveloping and structured with its 3
layers going from the inside to the outside, while the seamless construction
provides comfort. The innovative MicroLite Skeleton™ applications dynamically
follow the movements of the foot and the texturing Flex-Guard™ applications
minimise weight while providing a barrier against abrasion that can occur when
running over roots and rocks. Exceptional stability is provided by the
TrailCage System™ technology, which is located between the two shank layers. It
provides structure and good embedding of the foot and is integrated into the
lacing system. The sole, developed by la Sportiva's R&D department, has the
new grippy FriXion XT tread pattern with Impact Brake System, exclusive design
and Trail Rocker technology, which supports the natural "heel out - toe in"
during running. Cushioning, protection and comfort, 3 sides of a perfect
geometry: the Origami, which inspires the general design. With Akyra, winter
running becomes an art.
