Nike has carefully yet sustainably optimized the Vaporfly Next%2! The improvements relate almost exclusively to the "upper", which has been significantly upgraded with the "Engineered Mesh" and should now be even more durable, comfortable and breathable with the very good lacing, lateral overlays and slightly wider fit in the forefoot area. What has remained is the aggressive look, which is admittedly polarizing. The exorbitant dynamics with great cushioning and very high responsiveness have also been retained thanks to the almost perfect interplay between the ZoomX midsole foam and the carbon plate. The VN2 is therefore still one of the absolute top contenders in the carbon racer segment. However, before buying, you should take a look at the OVERALL OVERVIEW to see whether this shoe suits your own "running type" and requirements. In my opinion, it still tends to be more suitable for midfoot and forefoot runners. Good news: the RRP has been reduced by around €25 compared to its predecessor to around €250, which is of course still not really cheap... If you are looking for a top carbon shoe with top performance, the Vaporfly Next% 2 is a worthy candidate.

The full-length carbon fibre plate provides a responsive feel and freedom of movement as you run. Breathable and soft In a reworked upper, mesh materials are placed in key areas. The result is a softer, cooler design that adapts to your foot. Secure fit Reinforcement along the forefoot adds durability and secure comfort. An integrated foam pad at the heel provides additional cushioning. Lightweight padding on the tongue reduces pressure from laces on the arch. The lacing runs through the lightweight side sashes. This eliminates the need for an arch strap to reduce the weight of the shoe. The wider toe area provides a roomier fit. Flex grooves on the sole improve traction on various surfaces in diverse weather conditions.
