The GEL 100 CAF 100 contains 100 mg of caffeine - the equivalent of 1.5 espressos or a cup of brewed coffee. Compared to most traditional gels on the market, that's a lot. It provides 25 grams of carbohydrates in a unique blend of fructose and glucose (0.8 : 1 ratio) that allows for the absorption of up to 100 grams of carbohydrates per hour. The gel features a high energy-to-weight ratio and contains no added flavours, preservatives or colourings. And like all our products, it is suitable for vegans.

Use GEL 100 CAF 100 on its own for shorter periods of exertion or combine it with other Maurten products to provide sufficient energy throughout your activity.

AMOUNT OF CARBOHYDRATES
It is known that our body can use about 60 grams of ingested carbohydrates per hour in the form of glucose or maltodextrin (glucose polymer). Using a 0.5 : 1 combination of fructose and glucose/maltodextrin allows up to 90 grams to be absorbed per hour. Recent studies have shown that an increased fructose content of more than 0.5 : 1 enables an even higher intake. The GEL 100 CAF 100 is based on a fructose/glucose ratio of 0.8 : 1. One serving contains 25 grams of carbohydrates.
