It offers good to very good grip on all surfaces. The Vibram Litebase sole is particularly impressive when it is dry. The ZINAL naturally only reaches its limits on very muddy trails and stretches with extremely thick boulders. However, light-footed and technically experienced runners can also move the ZINAL well and safely there. The ProFly midsole is extremely successful and provides a high torsional capacity, coupled with a very dynamic rolling behavior and very good responsiveness. The ZINAL even performs well on asphalt, but shows off its full potential on the trail. I haven't been able to run a trail shoe that's so lightweight and dynamic in a long time. The fit is also impressive and even narrow feet are securely fixed in the ZINAL.
