Whenever someone trains with Eliud Kipchoge, he is asked to plant a tree at his base camp to symbolize his growth. The insole graphic mimics this growth with branches moving towards the front of the shoe. The red clay color is a nod to the Kenyan dirt that stains shoes during training. The font is a nod to African trees that have fractal-like patterns on the surface.
