Waterproof footwear with Gore-Tex® membrane, especially for winter running. Structured and protective, it was born for ultra trails, ultra marathons and long training sessions in the winter months. Akyra GTX® is particularly enveloping, comfortable and breathable. The shaft in water-repellent and non-slip mesh is very enveloping and textured with 3 layers going from the inside to the outside, while the seamless construction provides comfort. The innovative MicroLite Skeleton™ applications follow the movements of the foot dynamically and the structuring Flex-Guard™ applications minimize the weight and at the same time offer a barrier against wear that can occur when running over roots and rock. The extraordinary stability is provided by the TrailCage System™ technology, which is located between the two shaft layers. It offers structure and good embedding of the foot and is integrated in the lacing system. The sole, developed by la Sportiva's R&D department has the new grippy FriXion XT shoe profile with Impact Brake System, features exclusive design and Trail Rocker technology, which supports the natural appearance of "heel outside - toe inside" during running. Cushioning, protection and comfort, 3 sides of a perfect geometry: the Origami, the inspiration for the general design. With Akyra, winter running becomes an art.
