The Pegasus 39 scores first and
foremost with its good fit and, with its comfortable features, undoubtedly
passes for a solid all-rounder.
Nike has tamed its classic a
little here. Both the design and the running feel are more reminiscent of the
earlier models, i.e. before the time of the fast Vaporfly. I assume that Nike
has deliberately focused on classic elements of the Pegasus series. Old proven
features paired with new innovative materials that are more durable and
lighter.
At the same time, however, this
is my point of criticism. The lack of reactivity, i.e. the lack of bounce, is at

great rocker geometry that provides good propulsion. Well, we're talking about a
different shoe here, but approaches in this direction have already been
developed with Pegasus offshoots. Maybe there will be a Pegasus Turbo successor
in the future.
I recommend the Pegasus 39 to
runners with a neutral, heel-heavy running style who are looking for a solid
daily trainer. Also for forefoot and midfoot runners who prefer a very direct
and not too soft cushioning. A good choice for the calm and relaxed runs of any
distance, although a few
